Level 1 Instructional Program Design

Through differentiated instruction, students in Saint Luke Academy's Level One 

build foundational skills to move to the more complex and higher levels of the Big Ideas.

  • Reading Literacy is promoted through balanced reading instruction

       

  • Language Mechanics expands student skills in both written and oral expression.

        

  • Number sense and Number Operations. Concepts of time, money and ordinal numbers

        

  • Learning units that shape understanding of both the natural world and the people, societies and history that shape their social environment.

       

  • Art, music and drama expand cultural horizons.

     

  • Children participate in physical education, grow in computer technology and enjoy daily outdoor play (weather permitting).

   

  • Religious studies are enhanced by the many worship opportunities at Saint Luke.

 

  • Learning centers promote learning through discovery.

Extra-curricular activities are available to students

 

Extended Care before and after school is available.

  

An optional Lunch Program includes soup, salad, entree, dessert
